Paul Hanley is the operator of this web site and the editor and co-author of The Spirit of Agriculture.

Biographical Sketch

Paul Hanley is a writer by profession, with a special interest in religion, science, agriculture and environment. He has been a newspaper columnist since 1988 and has published more than 1000 articles as a freelance writer. Hanley does writing, research and consulting from his office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He is also Vice-President, Research with Points West Management Consultants.

His previous publications include Earthcare–Ecological Agriculture in Saskatchewan (1980), a regional bestseller described as “the book on organic agriculture” by Rodale’s New Farm magazine. Hanley is also a recipient of a 2006 Canadian Environment Award in Environmental Learning and the Pioneer Organic Communicator Award from Organic Connections in 2006.

Hanley became a Bahá'í in 1975. He is working on a new book on the concept of the covenant and the conservation of nature. He is also a director of the Prairie EcoVillage Development Corporation.

Paul Hanley is available to make presentations on The Spirit of Agriculture and related topics. Hanley has presented to dozens of organizations, conferences, and seminars in Canada, the US and abroad.
